Occupency Certificate - Application
To obtain an Occupancy Certificate (OC) through RTI, follow these steps:
File an RTI Application: Address your request to the Public Information Officer (PIO) of the local municipal authority or development department. Clearly state your request for the OC and provide necessary details such as the plot number, project name, and address.
Provide Necessary Information: Include details like the approved building plan number, OC application date, and any other relevant information that may assist in your request.
Await Response: The PIO must respond within 30 days. If the OC has not been issued within the timeframe specified in the Citizens' Charter or local building rules, you can seek further information.
Follow Up: If you do not receive a response, you can file a second appeal to the higher authority.
Use Legal Assistance: Consider using a legal service that specializes in RTI applications to ensure your application is drafted correctly and filed efficiently.
This process can help you obtain the OC you need for property transactions or legal validation.
